This event is now VIRTUAL for 2020!

1 Mile FIDO [dog] Run

Start:  7:00am - October 10, 2020
Finish: 6:00pm - October 25, 2020

This event has gone to the dogs, no... seriously.  This event is for your pup! Only FIDO gets swag for a job well done. Your pup (with you attached by a leash) can run or walk a mile in this event. You pick when you want to participate and where you want to participate! Complete your event within the two week period outlined above. You can provide your pup's results through Asics RunKeeper app or manually upload your pup's results (details coming soon) for some friendly competition. Due to social distancing mandates, it is advised that you (human) not participate in groups, that you stay at least 6 feet apart from others on your route, and that you wear a mask. Please follow the local leash laws.

An untimed event for our furry friends, this fast and flat course starts on the beautiful grounds of Twin Pines Park.  FIDO Parents MUST have FIDO on a 6 foot or shorter, non-retractable leash at all times. FIDO will be escorted around Cottage Lane out to Ralston Avenue.  Volunteers will keep participants to the left as they enter on to Ralston Avenue.  Participants will head toward Notre Dame de Namur University. Before Chula Vista Avenue,  Fido and Fido's human, will continue their race through the Silverado Bay Area at Home property, a sponsor for this event. Exiting back to Ralston Avenue, volunteers will send Fido racing to their finish in Twin Pines Park.  They will cross the finish line and experience the same finish line feeling all the human runners and walkers experience.

Because dogs are people, too - In addition to the scheduled packet pickup on Friday, 10/9/20 (times and location TBD), Fido and owner can pick up their untimed race bib at the registration booth provided on race day in Twin Pines Park.

**IMPORTANT - there is NO parking allowed for the Fido Run at Notre Dame de Namur University or Notre Dame High School.  Please find parking in the surrounding lots near Twin Pines Park.
