2021 News - Coming Soon!

2020 News - Old News!

The Belmont Water Dog Run is going VIRTUAL for 2020!

While nothing would make us happier than to see you at the starting line this October, we want everyone to remain healthy as we RUN THE DISTANCE, BY KEEPING OUR DISTANCE.

To celebrate the spirit and resilience of our community, we’re canceling the in-person race and having a VIRTUAL EVENT consisting of a 1mi, 5K, 10K run. During a 2 week period in late October, you can complete your selected event on your schedule at a location that works for you. As a challenge, you can  choose to repeat your chosen distance as many times during this time as you wish. We will announce ways you can track your results and check your rank on our leader board.

By participating in the Belmont Water Dog VIRTUAL RUN, you will be a part of a shared experience that positively impacts the health and wellness of our community. Thanks to all our runners and sponsors in 2019 we were able to distribute $16,208 in grants this year to support programs for Belmont and Redwood Shores students. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram to hear more about the grant recipients and the projects they are bringing to our students.

STAY TUNED FOR FINAL DETAILS ON THE VIRTUAL RUN and we hope to see you in October!

Introducing the Belmont Water Dog!

She's our friendly, eager, and shall we say resilient mascot.

We are proud to present our new logo.  Like you, we had hoped to have The Belmont Water Dog Run as an in-person event in 2020. We have decided that rather than canceling the event altogether we would provide a chance for you to still participate virtually. Your participation supports education in Belmont and Redwood Shores. In 2019, our event provided more than $16k in grants to worthwhile educational projects. To continue this community support we invite you to join our VIRTUAL 2020 run.

Event Details

Good News!! We will still have the 1mi, 5k, and 10k distances as previous years.

Starting October 10th, you will have the ability to run or walk the distance you register for on your own schedule at a location that works for you. Be sure to have completed your event no later than 6 pm on October 25th. We will have the ability for you to upload your results through the Asics RunKeeper app or you can upload your results manually.

Watch for new swag with our new mascot.
