Our Events
Our 5k, 10k, 1 mi kids, and 1 mi Fido runs have a bit of something for everyone. All events start at Twin Pines Park in Belmont. The 5k run is an out-and-back with the turnaround point a bit past Carlmont Shopping Center. The 10k shares the same outbound and inbound portions as the 5k, but adds a challenging and scenic trail portion up Lake Trail in Belmont Waterdog Park.
All registrants and volunteers are treated to a Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the Belmont Redwood Shores Rotary.

The Belmont Water Dog Run, now in its 9th year, has grown into an anticipated annual community event. This success is thanks to the contributions of sponsors, City partners, local leaders, schools, and volunteers, who come together to make it possible. Through their generous support, the BWDR has been able to fund over $55k in grants to worthy, youth-oriented programs.

The Belmont Water Dog Run, now in its 9th year, has grown into an anticipated annual community event. The BWDR Intern Program is unique among similar 5k/10k events. Every year, over a dozen students from our local high school (Carlmont) volunteer to help organize the event. They create designs, develop marketing strategies, cull data, and plan race logistics. The race would not be possible without their contributions.
